1) I have had incredible hormone-related hayfever at night.
2) I have lately had pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel syndrome at night. One or both of my hands will go numb, sometimes past the wrist. Uncomfortable, but at least not painful. I will invest in a couple of wrist splints if it keeps happening. I lost two hours of sleep last night while trying to figure out how to sleep without feeling like Frankenstein. You'll get what I mean if you picture how he walks, with his arms out.
3) We have an 8 AM appointment for our mid-pregnancy anatomic ultrasound tomorrow! The boy or girl mystery will be solved as long as baby Fram is willing to show us the goods.
Couple this with the fact that I have been feeling the baby move every night for the past five days and I am very excited. I only feel baby if I'm sitting very quietly with my hand on my belly, but it's definitely happening. Like a little flick from the other side.
And so, starting tomorrow, I imagine that these posts will take on a bit more of a style and design focus as we begin to think about what sorts of things we want to go into the nursery. For example, I would love to have one of these vinyl decals for the kid's wall. Which one will depend on tomorrow's unveiling.
And so the biggest question is, are we having a

or a

???
PS: You must know that I will not "pink-out" (as Jay just said) in the nursery if we are having a girl. It's the decal I like. And, really, both of these would do just fine in the nursery of either a boy or a girl. But I won't go all gender studies on you. We'll leave that discussion for another time...
Keep me posted on the goods!

ReplyDeleteSo exciting! Congrats jackie (although I guess the real congrats should go to jay for providing the male chromosome:))!! If you're interested, I have a friend who does custom designs for wall decals. She's on etsy and her shop is Old Barn Rescue Company.
