After all the sunning and grading I was hungry but didn't have time to go to the store. So I improvised and ended up with a tasty, tasty main dish. (Vegetarians, beware - what follows is pretty meaty...)

I took a 1-pound pork tenderloin, salted and peppered it, stuck sage leaves all over it and wrapped it in five slices of thin-sliced bacon. I chopped an onion into large sections and then threw everything into a preheated cast iron skillet with about a tablespoon of olive oil. I seared the pork for four minutes on each side, turned off the heat, tossed in a good-sized handful of raisins, and put the whole deal in the oven at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. After letting it sit for five more minutes on the stovetop, it was ready to go. Delish.
With such a fancy main, I took it down a notch by adding potato salad from Trader Joe's and store-bought baked beans as sides. All together, it was like a fancy barbeque picnic.
Tomorrow, for serious: eyelashes.
